Couples therapy
Two people, one clinician, and room for both of you to speak
For two adults who want to talk with each other, with a clinician in the room.
Sessions are 80 minutes, in our Anderson office or by video. The first one is a conversation about what each of you wants, and nothing is decided for you.

At a glance
How it works, in six short answers
Who it helps
Couples of any kind: married, partnered or dating, who want help talking with each other.
What sessions look like
Each person gets time to speak, and your clinician helps you listen to each other. You may be asked to try something between sessions.
The method
Heriberto and Kamari each say how they work on their pages, and explain the approach in plain words before you agree to it.
What this is not
It is not a place to be told who is right. If you are afraid of your partner, tell us before you book a joint session: we will talk with you alone first.
Length and frequency
A session is 80 minutes. Your clinician sets the pace with you, and we do not promise a number of sessions.
Through your insurance where we are in network, or yourselves, with a written estimate first.
Three questions about this service
Do we both have to come?
For couples sessions, yes. If only one of you wants to start, an individual session with a clinician is a good first step.
Who sees couples at Soften?
Heriberto Rincon and Kamari Dozier see couples. Each has a short hello on video, so you can choose together.
Can we meet in the evening?
Some evening times are open on weekdays. Tell us what suits you when you write.
Start together
Write to us with the times that suit you both, and we will suggest a clinician.
